No minutes were read from the last meeting.
Old Business:
Clinic: There were many positive comments about the clinician.
Some felt the groups were too big.
The advanced group should have paid the same as the other groups.
Tara Morrison won the door prize.
50% of the clinic fee was refunded to the founding members who participated.
Initial profit: $1384.00 - $750.00 (refunds) resulting in a final profit of $634.00
Shows: The first show had about 10 entries, but was canceled due to rain.
The second show only had 5 entries. It was canceled due to low entries and rain.
Motion: Amy, 2nd by Larry: That we have a show on July 31 at Chalanchuck Acres.
carried.
Mark will get the judge and Jack will provide score sheets.
A minimum of 10 entries by the Wednesday before the show is needed or the
show will be canceled.
Motion: Tom, 2nd by Larry: That breakaway herd roping be added to the show on
July 31. Carried.
Sponsors: Amy has obtained: $250 from Quintain and Sons, $250 of gift certificates from
Cowtown, a summer sheet from Mansfields, and 2 summer sheets from Glover Equine
Products. Glovers will also donate the lettering on their sheets and the one from
Mansfields.
New Business:
Motion: Tom, 2nd by Cam: That we will have a practice at Neil's on July 5, using cattle from
Morrisons' at $20/head. Starting at 6:00, $20/person. The club will subsidize as necessary.
This is open to members and non-members, all at the same price. carried
Amy will make a poster to advertise this event.
